In the depths of the body's core,
A gallbladder, a small organ, we explore.
Beneath the liver, it does reside,
Where gallbladder disease may sometimes hide.

Gallstones, like pebbles, hard and cold,
Within this sac of secrets, they unfold.
Cholesterol or bilirubin, their composition,
They bring pain, inflammation, a tough condition.

Cholecystitis, the inflammation's name,
Gallstones' game, it's not a simple claim.
Blocking the flow of bile, it might,
Acute or chronic, it causes quite a fright.

Biliary dyskinesia, a lesser-known fate,
Gallbladder's function impaired, we contemplate.
Symptoms of pain, discomfort, they decree,
In the realm of abdominal agony.

Gallbladder polyps, like tiny blooms,
Adorning the inner lining, their presence looms.
Most benign, but some might malign,
Turn to cancer, a dangerous sign.

Abdominal pain, nausea's cruel call,
Vomiting, digestive woes, they enthrall.
Gallbladder disease, a complex strife,
Treatment varies, in the surgeon's knife.

Dietary changes, medications in tow,
They may alleviate the painful woe.
In severe cases, as the last decree,
The gallbladder's removal, surgery's key.

So, heed the tale of the gallbladder's plight,
A poem of its diseases, in the body's night.
From stones to polyps, it weaves its lore,
A reminder to cherish our health all the more.
