In wounds that fester and won't heal,
A new solution is at our heel,
Enzymatic debridement, its name we chant,
A remedy for wounds, a life's enchant.

Necrotic tissue, a withering blight,
A hurdle to healing, in shadows of night,
It hinders the journey of renewal and light,
Infections may fester, a perilous fight.

Enzymes target the proteins, in necrosis they delve,
With surgical precision, in the tales they tell,
Dissolving the dead tissue, as a spell,
Leaving health's bloom, a story to tell.

Gentle and sparing, less invasive by far,
Than the surgeon's blade, a shining star,
Enzymatic debridement, like an avatar,
In the wounded's journey, it plays its part.

Healthcare's hands, in their practiced stride,
Apply these enzymes, with patience as their guide,
Over time and sessions, they never subside,
To restore the wound's beauty, they're allied.

When autolytic and mechanical seem to wane,
Enzymatic debridement, a method to gain,
In the arsenal of healing, it takes the reins,
Tailored to each wound's unique domain.

The choice is tailored to the patient's song,
The wound's own rhythm, where it belongs,
In the delicate dance, we find where we're strong,
In enzymatic whispers, the healing is lifelong.

  1. These are amazing. The poems are clever and they should be used for teaching purposes. I love the way the words flow so well. You don’t miss a beat.
