In the realm of lungs and breath, a tale we must unfold,
Of bronchodilators, and their story to be told.
In the chest's intricate dance, where airways twist and turn,
They come as healing whispers, for those who deeply yearn.

Asthma's cruel embrace, and COPD's stern hold,
These medications, warriors, in their struggles bold.
Smooth muscle's constricting grip, a challenge to be faced,
Bronchodilators arrive, in response to life's great haste.

In two classes, they march forth, with distinct intent,
Beta-2 Agonists, like a soothing breeze they're sent,
Stimulating beta-2 receptors, airways they unlock,
With albuterol's quick relief or salmeterol's steady clock.

Anticholinergics, the other group that aids,
Blocking acetylcholine, those constricting shades.
In combination with beta-2's, they bring added might,
Ipratropium, tiotropium, in their soothing flight.

The wheezes and the coughs, shortness of breath's cruel sting,
Bronchodilators, like angels, their relief they bring.
Inhalers, nebulizers, in their hands they wield,
The power to bring solace to each breath we yield.

In long-term battles, they stand guard, a constant friend,
Managing and preventing, till the very end.
With a doctor's guidance, in the proper way they use,
Bronchodilators, in the lungs, a breath of life infuse.

So remember their importance, and use them with respect,
For in the world of respiration, they're the shield we must protect.
In bronchodilators' grace, a breath of life we find,
To soothe the airways' struggles, and the troubles left behind.
