Within the throat, a silent guardian stands,
A lymphoid ring with mighty, unseen hands.
Named for Waldeyer, a scholar grand,
This ring protects the body's sacred land.

Palatine tonsils, flanking either side,
Guard the oropharynx with watchful pride.
Pharyngeal tonsil, the adenoid so high,
Sits in the nasopharynx, near the sky.

Lingual tonsils, at the tongue's broad base,
Defend with vigor, a strategic place.
Tubal tonsils, near Eustachian tubes they lie,
Standing guard where nasopharynx meets the eye.

Immune cells gather in this ring of might,
Prepared to battle pathogens in flight.
First line of defense, vigilant and keen,
Against invaders, a steadfast screen.

A fortress built of tissue strong and true,
To fight the unseen dangers passing through.
A ring of life, a sentinel in the throat,
In quiet strength, it stands and devotes.

Waldeyer's ring, an unsung hero's tale,
In the silent depths, its forces never fail.
Protecting life with every breath we take,
An immune marvel, for our body's sake.
