Born with a battle few can see,
A flaw in the code, a silent decree.
An army weakened from the start,
A body’s defense, a fragile heart.

In shadows they live, though strong they seem,
But within, the cells cannot redeem.
T-cells falter, B-cells fail,
Against infections, the body is frail.

Severe Combined Immunodeficiency, so dire,
Life-threatening infections spark the fire.
X-linked Agammaglobulinemia’s plight,
No antibodies rise to fight.

Common Variable Immunodeficiency reigns,
With low defenses, it brings more pains.
Recurrent infections, relentless and cruel,
A life-long test with a fragile tool.

Yet within the struggle, hope does bloom,
Immunoglobulins in the gloom.
Bone marrow gifts life anew,
Science’s hand steady, true.

Though unseen, the fight is real,
A silent war, a lifelong deal.
In every breath, a patient’s plea,
For strength, for life, for immunity.
