In hearts that beat a silent song,
Some structures may be formed all wrong.
From birth these tender flaws exist,
In chambers, valves, and vessels twist.

Atrial septal defect appears,
A hole where upper chambers clear.
In ventricles, the walls may part,
A defect found in a VSD heart.

Patent ductus arteriosus stays,
A vessel meant for fetal days.
Tetralogy of Fallot entwines,
Four defects in a heart combined.

Coarctation of the aorta's gate,
Narrowed passage, blood flow's fate.
Simple holes or complex pain,
CHDs vary, none the same.

Some are silent, some demand,
Swift attention, healing hand.
Medications may suffice,
Or catheter's careful device.

Surgery for the severe plight,
Restoring hearts to rhythm right.
From tiny flaws to grand array,
A chance for life in hearts at play.

In each defect, a story starts,
Of human strength and healing arts.
Through tender care and skilled embrace,
We mend the heart, restore its grace.
