Beneath the liver, tucked away,
The gallbladder works both night and day.
However, at times, it may rebel,
With polyps forming—a silent spell.

First and foremost, cholesterol stands,
Deposits like grains on golden sands.
Meanwhile, inflammation might ignite,
Inflammatory polyps take their flight.

On the other hand, adenomas grow,
Benign yet risky, as some may show.
In contrast, malignant forms arise,
Larger than most, with darkened skies.

As time goes on, risks take their place—
Age, gallstones, and inflammation’s trace.
Thus, symptoms appear in a subtle way,
Right-sided pain or post-meal dismay.

For this reason, imaging holds the key,
Ultrasound scans, most commonly.
Alternatively, CT or MRI,
Probe deeper where suspicions lie.

Small ones linger, needing no rush,
Monitored closely in a careful hush.
Conversely, larger polyps may demand,
Removal by the surgeon’s hand.

In the end, though often benign,
Their story remains a cautious sign.
So with each scan and thoughtful gaze,
The gallbladder's mystery we appraise.
