A stoma paved a brand-new way.
Meanwhile, surgeons worked with care,
Thus, the ileum met fresh air.
Since healing time was much in need,
A loop was placed to help proceed.
For Crohn’s and colitis, deep and wide,
Or when polyps grow inside,
So too, for cancer’s cruel demand,
An ileostomy lends a hand.
However, changes must be made,
For diet shifts cannot be swayed.
Therefore, hydration must increase,
Lest the body lose its peace.
In contrast to a life before,
New habits knock upon the door.
Still, the stoma stands so strong,
Guiding healing all along.
Although the path is paved with change,
Hope and strength are still in range.
Indeed, with care and love combined,
